Abstrak

Under the leadership of Mayor Benyamin Davnie, the South Tangerang City Government has implemented significant measures to monitor air quality using accredited tools such as the High-Volume Air Sampler (HVAS), certified by the National Accreditation Committee (KAN). These efforts align with Government Regulation No. 22 of 2021 on Environmental Protection and Management. On August 10, 2023, the Air Pollution Standard Index (ISPU) recorded a PM 2.5 level of 94, indicating concerning pollution levels. Monitoring is carried out across 12 designated sites, including Setu, Pondok Aren, Serpong, Ciputat Timur, and the BMKG premises, using the Massive Sampler method. Additionally, real-time air quality data is collected through the Ambient Air Quality Monitoring System (SPKUA) at HealthPark. This research explores public relations strategies that promote Green Open Spaces (RTH) through integration with the Climate Village program. Employing qualitative descriptive methods and literature reviews, the study examines how these strategies enhance environmental awareness and community engagement in pollution mitigation. Findings from interviews and scholarly sources highlight the importance of effective communication, stakeholder collaboration, and active citizen involvement in achieving program goals. Sustainability depends on continuous strategic support, including consistent monitoring, evaluation, and policy updates. This study offers valuable insights for public relations professionals and policymakers while advocating broader collaboration with national and global environmental entities to advance sustainable urban development and address transboundary air pollution challenges.
