COD, TSS, Eco-Enzyme, Limbah TapiokaAbstrak
Tapioca industrial waste produces organic waste, namely solid and liquid waste, which generally has the characteristics of COD content of around 6000-7000 mg/L and TSS of around 2000-2900 mg/L. Tapioca liquid waste with high COD and TSS content needs to be processed, one type of processing is degradation using eco- enzyme. The use of eco-enzyme needs to be developed, because it is cheaper and easier to make. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of eco-enzyme use on reducing COD and TSS levels in tapioca liquid wast. The method used in this study was an experimental method used in this study was an experimental method using a ratio of 100 ml (10%) eco-enzyme and 1000 ml tapioca liquid waste for 28 days on a laboratory scale. The results of the study showed that the addition of 10% eco-enzyme dose can reduce COD and TSS levels in mixed eco-enzyme waste. However, the effectiveness of COD reduction is only effective until the 7th day, as seen from the initial COD sampel of 6830 mg/L, after administering eco-enzyme on the 7th day the COD value decreased to 3810 mg/L, and in the TSS parameter eco- enzyme effectively reduced TSS until the 28th day. This can be seen from the initial TSS sampel of 6830 mg/L, after administering eco-enzyme for 28 days the TSS value decreased to 495.5 mg/L with an effectiveness of COD and TSS reduction of 44.94% and 82.46%.
