PERANCANGAN PUSAT PASAR TRADISIONAL KABANJAHE DENGAN PENDEKATAN ARSITEKTUR PERILAKU

Abstrak

Pasar tradisional memiliki peran penting sebagai pusat kegiatan ekonomi masyarakat serta ruang interaksi sosial yang mencerminkan budaya lokal. Di Kecamatan Kabanjahe, keberadaan pasar tradisional masih menghadapi berbagai permasalahan, seperti tata ruang yang kurang teratur, sirkulasi yang tidak optimal, kondisi kebersihan yang rendah, serta kurangnya kenyamanan bagi pedagang dan pengunjung. Permasalahan tersebut berdampak pada menurunnya kualitas aktivitas jual beli serta pengalaman pengguna pasar. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan perancangan pusat pasar tradisional yang mampu mengakomodasi perilaku pengguna secara efektif dan nyaman. Perancangan Pusat Pasar Tradisional Kabanjahe ini menggunakan pendekatan arsitektur perilaku yang menitikberatkan pada hubungan antara ruang dan perilaku manusia. Pendekatan ini dilakukan melalui analisis pola aktivitas pedagang dan pengunjung, pola pergerakan, kebutuhan ruang, serta interaksi sosial yang terjadi di dalam pasar. Penerapan arsitektur perilaku diwujudkan melalui pengaturan zonasi yang jelas antara area basah dan kering, sirkulasi yang terarah dan mudah dipahami, penyediaan ruang interaksi sosial, serta penggunaan elemen desain yang mendukung kenyamanan termal dan visual pengguna. Hasil perancangan diharapkan mampu menciptakan lingkungan pasar yang tertata, nyaman, aman, dan higienis, serta mendukung aktivitas ekonomi masyarakat secara optimal. Selain itu, penerapan pendekatan arsitektur perilaku diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kualitas interaksi sosial, efisiensi pergerakan pengguna, serta menciptakan citra pasar tradisional yang lebih modern tanpa menghilangkan karakter lokal masyarakat Kabanjahe.

Traditional Traditional markets play an important role as centers of community economic activities and social interaction spaces that reflect local culture. In Kabanjahe District, the existence of traditional markets still faces various problems, such as disorganized spatial layout, inefficient circulation, poor sanitation conditions, and a lack of comfort for traders and visitors. These issues affect the quality of buying and selling activities as well as the overall user experience in the market. Therefore, it is necessary to design a traditional market center that is able to accommodate user behavior effectively and comfortably. The design of the Kabanjahe Traditional Market Center applies a behavioral architecture approach that emphasizes the relationship between space and human behavior. This approach is carried out through the analysis of traders' and visitors' activity patterns, movement patterns, spatial needs, and social interactions occurring within the market. The application of behavioral architecture is implemented through clear zoning arrangements between wet and dry areas, directed and easily understood circulation paths, provision of social interaction spaces, and the use of design elements that support users’ thermal and visual comfort. The design results are expected to create a market environment that is organized, comfortable, safe, and hygienic, while supporting community economic activities optimally. In addition, the implementation of the behavioral architecture approach is expected to improve the quality of social interactions, increase the efficiency of user movement, and create a more modern image of traditional markets without eliminating the local character of the Kabanjahe community.
