ILMU HADIST DIRAYAH: SEJARAH PERKEMBANGAN DAN CABANG ILMUNYA

Abstrak

Memahami sejarah hadist, termasuk periwayatan dan pembukuannya, sangat penting dalam studi hadist untuk memastikan keaslian sumber hukum syariat. Pada masa awal, hadist disampaikan secara lisan karena adanya larangan Nabi Muhammad SAW untuk menulis hadist guna mencegah tercampurnya dengan Al-Qur’an. Ilmu Hadist Dirayah, yang mengkaji sanad dan matan hadist, berkembang pesat sejak masa tabi’in, terutama untuk memverifikasi hadist palsu. Ulama seperti Imam Bukhari dan Imam Muslim berperan penting dalam kodifikasi hadist dan pengembangan ilmu ini. Berbagai cabang ilmu hadist, seperti Ilmu Rijal, Ilmu al-Jarh wa al-Ta'dil, dan Ilmu Asbab Wurud al-Hadist, terus berkembang untuk menjaga otentisitas ajaran Nabi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi pustaka untuk menganalisis perkembangan ilmu hadist, mempelajari kaidah-kaidah yang digunakan untuk menilai kualitas hadist, serta menggali lebih dalam berbagai cabang ilmu hadist yang bertujuan menjaga otentisitas ajaran Nabi Muhammad SAW.

Understanding the history of hadith, including its transmission and compilation, is crucial in hadith studies to ensure the authenticity of the sources of Islamic law. In the early period, hadiths were transmitted orally due to the Prophet Muhammad's prohibition against writing them, to prevent confusion with the Qur’an. Ilm al-Hadith Dirayah, which studies the chain of transmission (sanad) and the content (matan) of hadith, developed rapidly during the time of the tabi’in, especially to verify fabricated hadiths. Scholars like Imam Bukhari and Imam Muslim played significant roles in the codification of hadith and the development of this science. Various branches of hadith studies, such as Ilm al-Rijal, Ilm al-Jarh wa al-Ta’dil, and Ilm Asbab Wurud al-Hadith, continued to evolve to preserve the authenticity of the Prophet's teachings. This research employs a qualitative method with a literature review approach to analyze the development of hadith sciences, studying the principles used to assess the quality of hadith, and exploring the various branches of hadith sciences aimed at maintaining the authenticity of the teachings of Prophet Muhammad.
