PERAN TAMAN PENDIDIKAN AL-QUR'AN (TPQ) UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MEMBACA AL-QUR'AN SISWA MIS MIFTAHUL ULUM

Abstrak

Taman Pendidikan Al-Qur’an (TPQ) merupakan lembaga pendidikan nonformal yang berfokus pada pengajaran baca tulis Al-Qur’an bagi anak-anak. Dikelola oleh masyarakat Muslim setempat, lembaga ini bertujuan meningkatkan kompetensi santri dalam membaca, menulis, memahami, serta mengamalkan ajaran Al-Qur’an. Selain itu, TPQ berperan dalam membentuk generasi yang menjadikan Al-Qur’an sebagai fondasi, kompas moral, dan pedoman hidup. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) menganalisis peran TPQ MIS Miftahul Ulum dalam memfasilitasi pembelajaran Al-Qur’an, (2) mengukur kualitas bacaan Al-Qur’an santri, dan (3) mengevaluasi sistem pendidikan di lembaga tersebut. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif jenis studi kasus, data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi dengan teknik purposive sampling. Analisis data meliputi tahap pengumpulan, reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa TPQ MIS Miftahul Ulum berperan vital dalam menyediakan fasilitas pendukung pembelajaran. Kualitas bacaan santri dinilai berdasarkan penguasaan tajwid, makharijul huruf, shifatul huruf, serta kelancaran (tartil). Evaluasi dilakukan secara internal setiap tiga bulan oleh tenaga pengajar dan dilaporkan kepada orang tua setiap semester. Sinergi antara guru, orang tua, dan santri menjadi kunci optimalisasi proses evaluasi.

The Al-Qur'an Education Park (TPQ) is a non-formal educational institution focused on teaching Al-Qur'an literacy to children. Managed by the local Muslim community, this institution aims to enhance students' competence in reading, writing, understanding, and implementing the teachings of the Al-Qur'an. Furthermore, TPQ plays a vital role in fostering a generation that regards the Al-Qur'an as their life foundation, moral compass, and guide. This study aims to: (1) analyze the role of TPQ MIS Miftahul Ulum in facilitating Al-Qur'an learning, (2) measure the quality of students' Al-Qur'an recitation, and (3) evaluate the educational system within the institution. Employing a qualitative approach with a case study design, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation using a purposive sampling technique. Data analysis involved stages of collection, reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that TPQ MIS Miftahul Ulum plays a vital role in providing facilities that support the learning process. The quality of students' recitation is assessed based on their mastery of tajwid (recitation rules), makharijul huruf (articulation points), shifatul huruf (letter characteristics), and tartil (fluency). Evaluations are conducted internally every three months by the teaching staff and reported to parents every semester. Synergy between teachers, parents, and students is the key to optimizing the evaluation process.
