IMPLEMENTASI SISTEM RENTAL MOBIL BERBASIS WEB DENGAN FITUR REKOMENDASI KENDARAAN MENGGUNAKAN ANALISIS PIECES

Perkembangan teknologi informasi mendorong transformasi digital di berbagai bidang, termasuk industri rental mobil. Namun, banyak penyedia jasa masih menggunakan sistem manual yang kurang efisien dan rawan kesalahan, seperti pada Rental Mobil Grand Bumi Trans. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun sistem informasi rental mobil berbasis web yang dilengkapi fitur rekomendasi kendaraan menggunakan metode Simple Additive Weighting (SAW), serta melakukan evaluasi sistem dengan metode PIECES. Metode SAW digunakan untuk menghasilkan rekomendasi kendaraan sesuai kebutuhan pelanggan berdasarkan kriteria harga, brand, dan model, sementara metode PIECES diterapkan untuk mengevaluasi kinerja sistem dari aspek Performance, Information, Economics, Control, Efficiency, dan Service. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan model pengembangan Waterfall, dengan tahapan analisis kebutuhan, perancangan, implementasi, hingga pengujian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem yang dikembangkan mampu memberikan rekomendasi kendaraan secara cepat, akurat, dan relevan, sekaligus meningkatkan efisiensi operasional serta kualitas layanan pada Rental Mobil Grand Bumi Trans. Evaluasi menggunakan kuesioner berbasis skala Likert memperlihatkan tingkat kepuasan pengguna berada pada kategori puas hingga sangat puas, sehingga sistem ini dinilai efektif dalam mendukung operasional dan pelayanan rental mobil.
The rapid development of information technology has driven digital transformation across various industries, including the car rental sector. However, many service providers still rely on manual systems that are inefficient and prone to errors, as seen in Grand Bumi Trans Car Rental. This research aims to design and develop a web-based car rental information system equipped with a vehicle recommendation feature using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method, and to evaluate the system using the PIECES framework. The SAW method is applied to generate vehicle recommendations according to customer needs based on criteria such as price, brand, and model, while PIECES is used to assess system performance across six aspects: Performance, Information, Economics, Control, Efficiency, and Service. The study adopts the Waterfall development model, covering requirement analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. The results show that the proposed system is capable of providing quick, accurate, and relevant vehicle recommendations, while also improving operational efficiency and service quality at Grand Bumi Trans Car Rental. Evaluation through a Likert-scale questionnaire indicates that user satisfaction levels fall into the satisfied to very satisfied category, confirming that the system is effective in supporting car rental operations and services.
