REVIEW ARTIKEL: UJI FARMAKOLOGI TUMBUHAN KITOLOD (Isotoma Longiflora Presi) SEBAGAI IMMUNOSTIMULAN

Abstrak

Adanya perubahan musim yang tidak tentu serta rentannya penyebaran penyakit dan infeksi membuat tubuh menjadi rentan terhadap serangan dari luar. Immunostimulan merupakan senyawa yang dapat meningkatkan mekanisme pertahanan tubuh secara spesifik atau non spesifik. Selain dapat mempertahankan daya tahan tubuh, immunostimulan juga mampu bekerja sama dalam pertahanan keseimbangan tubuh bila terserang infeksi. Isotoma longiflora presi dikenal dengan nama kitolod termasuk dalam keluarga Campanulaceae. Tumbuhan ini dimanfaatkan sebagai obat – obatan tradisional, dan sekarang berlanjut hingga dalam proses menuju pengobatan herbal konvensional. Pada jurnal ini membahas tentang Tumbuhan kitolod yang bisa bermanfaat sebagai imunostimulan. Tujuan dari review artikel ini untuk memberikan informasi mengenai tumbuhan kitolod yang dapat memberikan manfaat untuk pengobatan. Metode yang digunakan yaitu studi literatur menggunakan sumber data sekunder berupa hasil penelitian yang telah dipublikasikan dalam jurnal nasional.

Immunostimulants are compounds that can increase the body's defense mechanisms specifically or non-specifically. In addition to maintaining the body's immune system, immunostimulants are also able to work together in the defense of the body's balance when attacked by infection. Isotoma Longiflora Presi is known as kitolod, which belongs to the Campanulaceae family. This plant is used as a traditional medicine, and is now continuing to the process of moving towards conventional herbal medicine. This journal discusses the Kitolod plant which can be useful as an immunostimulant. The purpose of this study is to provide information about the Kitolod plant which can provide benefits for treatment. The method used is a literature study using primary data sources in the form of research results that have been published in national journals.
