HUBUNGAN PERAN AYAH DENGAN PERKEMBANGAN EMOSIONAL ANAK PRA SEKOLAH DI TK SIMPANG LIMAU BANJARMASIN

Latar Belakang: Anak pra sekolah berada pada masa golden age yang rentan mengalami gangguan perkembangan emosional. Peran ayah memiliki pengaruh besar terhadap perkembangan emosional anak, namun fenomena fatherless di Indonesia masih tinggi sehingga berdampak pada keterlambatan perkembangan emosional.Tujuan: Mengetahui hubungan antara peran ayah dengan perkembangan emosional anak pra sekolah di TK Simpang Limau Banjarmasin.Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain cross sectional. Populasi penelitian sebanyak 81 anak pra sekolah dengan jumlah sampel 30 responden yang dipilih menggunakan teknik accidental sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner Peran Ayah dan Kuesioner Masalah Mental Emosional (KMME). Analisis data dilakukan secara univariat dan bivariat menggunakan uji Chi Square dengan tingkat signifikansi α = 0,05.Hasil: Sebagian besar anak mendapatkan peran ayah cukup sebanyak 16 responden (53,3%) dan peran ayah kurang sebanyak 14 responden (46,7%). Perkembangan emosional anak mayoritas tidak bermasalah sebanyak 18 responden (60%), sedangkan yang bermasalah sebanyak 12 responden (40%). Hasil uji Chi Square menunjukkan nilai p = 0,004 (α < 0,05) dengan odds ratio sebesar 17,500, artinya anak dengan peran ayah kurang berisiko 17,5 kali lebih besar mengalami perkembangan emosional bermasalah.Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara peran ayah dengan perkembangan emosional anak pra sekolah di TK Simpang Limau Banjarmasin. Diharapkan keterlibatan ayah dalam pengasuhan anak dapat ditingkatkan untuk mendukung perkembangan emosional anak secara optimal.
Background: Preschool children are in the golden age stage, which is vulnerable to emotional development disorders. The father’s role significantly influences children’s emotional development; however, the fatherless phenomenon in Indonesia remains high, affecting children’s emotional growth.Objective: To determine the relationship between the father’s role and the emotional development of preschool children at TK Simpang Limau Banjarmasin.Methods: This study used a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. The study population consisted of 81 preschool children, with 30 respondents selected using accidental sampling. The research instruments were the Father’s Role Questionnaire and the Emotional Mental Problem Questionnaire (KMME). Data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate analysis with the Chi-Square test at a significance level of α = 0.05.Results: Most children experienced an adequate father’s role (53.3%), while 46.7% had a poor father’s role. The majority of children had no emotional problems (60%), while 40% had emotional problems. The Chi-Square test showed a p-value of 0.004 (α < 0.05) with an odds ratio of 17.500, indicating that children with poor father involvement were 17.5 times more likely to experience emotional development problems.Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between the father’s role and the emotional development of preschool children at TK Simpang Limau Banjarmasin. Increasing father involvement in childcare is essential to support optimal emotional development in children.
