Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas fisik wafer pakan komplit berbasis rumput odot (Pennisetum purpureum Cv Mott) dan isi rumen sapi akibat lama penyimpanan. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan 4 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan sehingga terdapat 16unit percobaan. Perlakuan tersebut adalah: P0 = Wafer Pakan Komplit 0 hari, P1 =10 hari, P2 = 20 hari, P3 = 30 hari. Parameter yang diamati: kadar air, berat jenis, daya serap air, tingkat kerapatan. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah Analisis Sidik Ragam (ANOVA) untuk melihat pengaruh perlakuan dan dilanjutkan dengan uji lanjut Duncan untuk melihat perbedaan antar perlakuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh lama penyimpanan wafer pakan komplit berbasis rumput odot (Pennisetum purpureum Cv Mott) dan isi rumen sapi memberikan perbedaan sangat nyata (P<0,01) terhadap kadar air tetapi berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap berat jenis, daya serap air, dan tingkat kerapatan. Disimpulkan bahwa lama waktu penyimpanan tidak mempengaruhi sifat fisik wafer pakan komplit berbasis rumput odot dan isi rumen sapi dalam waktu 30 hari.

This study aims to determine the physical quality of complete feed wafers based on odot grass (Pennisetum purpureum Cv Mott) and the content of cow rumen due to storage time. This study used  a Complete Random Design with 4 treatments and 4 replicates so that there were 16 experimental units. The treatment is: P0 = Complete Feed Wafer 0 days, P1 = 10 days, P2 = 20 days, P3 = 30 days. Observed parameters: moisture content, specific gravity, water absorption, density level. The data analysis used was Variegated Fingerprint Analysis (ANOVA) to see the effect of treatment and continued with Duncan's further test to see the difference between treatments. The results showed that the effect of the storage time of complete feed wafers based on odot grass (Pennisetum purpureum Cv Mott) and the content of cattle rumen gave a very real difference (P<0.01) on moisture content but had a negligible effect on specific gravity, water absorption, and density. It was concluded that the length of storage time did not affect the physical properties of the complete feed wafer based on odot grass and the content of the cow rumen within 30 days.
