PENGARUH PENAMBAHAN SARI TEBU (SACCHARUM OFFICIANARUM) DALAM PENGENCER SITRAT KUNING TELUR TERHADAP KUALITAS SEMEN CAIR BABI PERSILANGAN LANDRACE DAN DUROC

Abstrak

Tujuan penelitian ini ialah guna mengetahui pengaruh penambahan sari tebu dalam pengencer sitrat kuning telur terhadap kualitas semen cair babi persilangan landrace dan duroc selama preservasi. Metode yang dipakai ialah rancangan acak lengkap mencakup 6 perlakuan serta 5 ulangan sehingga total terdapat 30 unit percobaan. Perlakuan meliputi P0=S-KT, P1=S-KT+ 5% ST, P2=S-KT+10% ST, P3= S-KT+15% ST, P4= S-KT+20% ST, P5= S-KT+25% AT Variabel yang diuji diantaranya: viabilitas spermatozoa, motilitas spermatozoa, abnormalitas spermatozoa serta daya tahan hidup spermatozoa. Data yang didapat dianalisis dengan Analisis of Variance serta dilanjutkan dengan uji duncan. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwasannya Motilitas tertinggi pada jam ke-60 yang terdapat pada perlakuan P4 yakni sebesar 49,00%, Viabilitas: 67,80%, Abnormalitas: 4,90%, serta Daya Tahan Hidup: 66,76 jam. Kesimpulan dari hasil penelitian ini adalah penambahan sari tebu dengan konsentrasi sebesar 20% dalam pengencer sitrat-kuning telur, memberikan respon yang terbaik serta mampu mempertahankan spermatozoa babi persilangan landrace dan duroc.

 

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of adding sugarcane juice in egg yolk citrate diluent on the quality of liquid semen of landrace and duroc crossbred pigs during preservation. The method used was a completely randomized design including 6 treatments and 5 replicates so that there were a total of 30 experimental units. Treatments include  T0=C-EY, T1=C-EY+ 5% SJ, T2=T-EY+10% SJ, T3= C-EY+15% SJ, T4= C-EY+20% SJ, T5= C-EY+25% SJ The variables tested included: spermatozoa motility, spermatozoa viability, spermatozoa abnormalities and spermatozoa survival. The data obtained were analyzed by Analysis of Variance and continued with the Duncan test. The results of the study showed the highest Motility at the 60th hour in the P4 treatment, which was 49.00%, Viability: 67,80%, Abnormality: 4.90%, and Endurance Life: 66.76 hours. The conclusion of the results of this study is that the addition of sugarcane water with a concentration of 20% in citrate-egg yolk diluent, provides a good response and is able to maintain spermatozoa from landrace and duroc.
