PENGARUH PENAMBAHAN SARI KACANG KEDELAI (GLYCINE MAX) DALAM PENGENCER SITRAT-KUNING TELUR TERHADAP KUALITAS SEMEN CAIR BABI PERSILANGAN LANDRACE X DUROC

Abstrak

Tujuan dari kajian untuk mengetahui efek penambahan sari kacang kedelai (SKK) dalam pengencer sitrat-kuning telur (S-KT) pada kualitas semen babi persilangan landrace x duroc. Studi ini menerapkan metode rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan, sehingga menghasilkan total 25 unit percobaan. Perlakuan terdiri dari P0=S-KT, P1=S-KT+SKK 12,5%, P2=S-KT+SKK 25,0%, P3=S-KT+SKK 37,5%, P4= S-KT+SKK 50,0%. Setelah diencerkan, semen disimpan dalam coolbox pada temperatur 18-20˚C. Variabel yang diuji di antaranya: motilitas sperma, viabilitas, abnormalitas dan daya tahan hidup sperma. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan motilitas tertinggi pada jam ke-48 yang terdapat pada P2 yakni sebesar 45,00%, viabilitas: 59,80%, abnormalitas: 4,70%, dan daya tahan hidup: 52,40 jam. Kesimpulan dari hasil penelitian ini adalah, penambahan Sari kacang kedelai dengan dosis 25,0% dalam pengencer sitrat-kuning telur, merupakan dosis terbaik yang dapat mempertahankan kualitas spermatozoa babi persilangan lanrdace x duroc selama 52 jam penyimpanan pada suhu 18-20ºC.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of adding soy bean extract (SBE) in citrate-egg yolk diluent (C-EY) on the quality of semen from landrace x duroc crossbred pigs. This study applied a completely randomized design (CRD) method with 5 treatments and 5 replications, resulting in a total of 25 experimental units. The treatments consisted of P0 = C-EY, P1 = C-EY + SBE 12.5%, P2 = C-EY + SBE 25.0%, P3 = C-EY + SBE 37.5%, P4 = C-EY + SBE 50.0%. After being diluted, the semen was stored in a coolbox at a temperature of 18-20˚C. The variables tested included: sperm motility, viability, abnormality and sperm survival. The results of the study showed the highest motility at 48 hours in P2, which was 45.00%, viability: 59.80%, abnormality: 4.70%, and survival: 52.40 hours. The conclusion of the results of this study is that the addition of soybean extract at a dose of 25.0% in citrate-egg yolk diluent is the best dose that can maintain the quality of sperm from lanrdace x duroc crossbred pigs for 52 hours of storage at a temperature of 18-20ºC.
