The single axis solar panel tracking system based on Arduino Uno in a hybrid system aims to increase the efficiency of solar energy absorption by optimizing the panel's position in relation to sunlight. By using a single axis tracking mechanism, the solar panels can move following the movement of the sun from east to west, thereby maximizing the amount of energy absorbed throughout the day. This system is implemented in a hybrid system that combines several energy sources, such as solar panels, PLN, and generators, to ensure a more stable and efficient electricity supply. The working process of this system involves Arduino Uno as the main microcontroller which controls the movement of the solar panels based on data from the light sensor (LDR). This sensor detects the intensity of sunlight and sends the information to the Arduino, which then adjusts the linear actuator to move the panel so that it always faces the sun at an optimal angle. In addition, this system is equipped with an automatic adjustment that allows the panels to return to their original position at sunset, and is integrated with a hybrid system to distribute energy efficiently. The results of implementing this solar panel tracking system show an increase in solar energy conversion efficiency compared to static panels. With the tracking mechanism, panels can absorb more energy throughout the day, thereby increasing the electrical power produced and reducing dependence on other power sources, such as PLN or generators. This not only optimizes the use of renewable energy but also contributes to reducing operational costs and carbon emissions, thereby supporting a more environmentally friendly and sustainable electricity system.
