PENINGKATAN MASYARAKAT DENGAN MENUMBUHKAN KARAKTER MELALUI LITERASI DIGITAL PADA BINA TARUNA 07 GREENERY PERMAI

Era revolusi industri 4.0 juga memiliki kondisi gap generation dalam struktur kehidupan sosial masyarakat. Jika sebelumnya ada generasi babyboomers, generasi X dan generasi milenial. Generasi Z cenderung mengakses internet lebih lama dibandingkan generasi lainnya, dalam status literasi digital disebutkan bahwa 35% Gen Z mengakses internet lebih dari 6 jam per harinya. Banyaknya waktu dalam penggunaan teknologi informasi pada Generasi Z ternyata tidak sebanding dengan kemampuan literasi digital Generasi Z. Beberapa problematika era digital di kalangan Generasi Z perlu menjadi sorotan, ketergantungan pada teknologi dan perangkat digital menyebabkan gangguan kesehatan mental akibat kecanduan online, gangguan insomnia (sulit tidur) dan berkurangnya konsentrasi belajar. Bina Taruna 07 dalah karang taruna yang terdiri dari pengurus muda berusia SMP-SMA yang ada di Perumahan Greenery Permai Bojonggede Kabupaten Bogor, kondisi pada mitra menunjukan masih kurangnya literasi digital yang dimiliki oleh sebagian pengurus Bina Taruna 07. Karena itulah, penulis memberikan pelatihan terkait literasi digital agar pengurus karang taruna memahami 4 pilar literasi digital yaitu Digital Ethics, Digital Skill, Digital Safety sehingga mampu mengurangi resiko penggunaan media digital di kalangan Generasi Z dan mampu memunculkan kesejahteraan digital di lingkungannya dan tercipta Digital Culture yang menentramkan masyarakat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa literasi digital tidak hanya meningkatkan kemampuan teknis dalam menggunakan teknologi, tetapi juga membangun karakter seperti tanggung jawab, kemandirian, dan kesadaran sosial. Penulis merekomendasikan penerapan literasi digital secara berkelanjutan untuk mendukung pembangunan masyarakat yang adaptif terhadap perkembangan zaman sekaligus menjaga nilai-nilai lokal.
The era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 has also brought about a generation gap within the structure of social life. Previously, there were the Baby Boomers, Generation X, and Millennials. Generation Z tends to spend more time accessing the internet compared to other generations. In terms of digital literacy, it is reported that 35% of Generation Z spends more than six hours online each day. However, the significant amount of time spent using information technology by Generation Z does not correlate with their digital literacy skills. Several issues related to the digital era among Generation Z require attention. Their dependency on technology and digital devices has led to mental health issues due to online addiction, insomnia, and decreased focus on learning. Bina Taruna 07 is a youth organization consisting of young members at the junior and senior high school levels from the Greenery Permai residential area in Bojonggede, Bogor Regency. Observations of the group reveal that many members of Bina Taruna 07 have limited digital literacy. For this reason, the author has provided training on digital literacy to help the youth organization understand the four pillars of digital literacy: Digital Ethics, Digital Skills, Digital Safety, and Digital Culture. The goal is to reduce the risks associated with digital media use among Generation Z and foster digital well-being in their community, ultimately creating a digital culture that promotes harmony in society. The research findings indicate that digital literacy not only enhances technical skills in using technology but also builds essential character traits such as responsibility, independence, and social awareness. The author recommends the sustainable implementation of digital literacy to support the development of a society that is both adaptive to contemporary advancements and rooted in local values.
