PENGARUH PEMBERIAN REBUSAN KROKOT (PORTULACA OLERACEA L) DALAM AIR MINUM TERHADAP POTONGAN PRIMAL KARKAS AYAM BROILER

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh pemberian rebusan krokot (Portulaca Oleracea L), melalui air minum terhadap potongan primal karkas (persentase dada, persentase paha, persentase punggung, dan persentase sayap) ayam broiler. Penelitian ini menggunakan 100 ekor DOC (day old chicks) ayam broiler strain CP 707 Produksi PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan. Setiap ulangan terdiri dari 5 ekor ayam broiler. Perlakuan yang dicobakan adalah P0: Air minum tanpa rebusan daun krokot (kontrol), P1: 25 ml rebusan daun krokot/L air minum, P2: 50 ml rebusan daun krokot/L air minum, P3: 75 ml rebusan daun krokot/L air minum. Variabel yang diteliti adalah persentase dada, paha, punggung, dan sayap. Hasil analisis statistik menunjukan bahwa pemberian rebusan daun krokot dalam air minum berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap persentase dada dan punggung, sedangkan persentase paha dan persentase sayap berpengaruh tidak nyata (P>0,05). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian rebusan daun krokot pada level 25 ml/L air minum dapat menambah persentase punggung, dan pada level pemberian 50 ml/L air minum dapat meningkatkan persentase dada ayam broiler.
