MODEL HUBUNGAN SDI DAN IRI PADA FLEXIBLE PAVEMENT RUAS JALAN NASIONAL KABUPATEN KOLAKA UTARA

Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kondisi infrastruktur jalan di Kabupaten Kolaka Utara dengan menggunakan metode Surface Distress Index (SDI) dan International Roughness Index (IRI). Metode ini memberikan evaluasi kuantitatif terkait tingkat kerusakan jalan dan kenyamanan pengguna. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa tingginya intensitas lalu lintas, kendaraan dengan muatan berlebih, serta pengaruh cuaca ekstrem merupakan faktor utama yang menyebabkan kerusakan jalan nasional dengan perkerasan lentur. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, sebagian besar jalan membutuhkan pemeliharaan intensif untuk menjaga kualitas infrastruktur yang ada. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya perencanaan pemeliharaan jalan yang berbasis bukti, kolaborasi antara pemerintah dan masyarakat, serta pengembangan program pemeliharaan yang berkelanjutan. Dengan pendekatan yang tepat, infrastruktur jalan yang terkelola baik dapat mendukung pertumbuhan ekonomi, meningkatkan konektivitas wilayah, serta memperbaiki kualitas hidup masyarakat di Kabupaten Kolaka Utara.

This study aims to analyze the road infrastructure conditions in Kolaka Utara Regency using the Surface Distress Index (SDI) and International Roughness Index (IRI) methods. These methods provide a quantitative evaluation of road damage levels and user comfort. The findings indicate that the high traffic intensity, overloaded vehicles, and the impact of extreme weather are the primary factors contributing to the deterioration of national roads with flexible pavement. Based on the analysis, most roads require intensive maintenance to preserve the existing infrastructure quality. This research emphasizes the importance of evidence-based road maintenance planning, collaboration between the government and the community, as well as the development of sustainable maintenance programs. With the right approach, well-managed road infrastructure can support economic growth, improve regional connectivity, and enhance the quality of life for the people of Kolaka Utara Regency.
